Senate Door Painting Project

This past weekend the Lexington High School Senate Communications Team worked on painting doors. I can’t put in words how proud I am of what we accomplished.

The first door absolutely embodies high school English and the details on the pug and chicks scream artistic ability.

The second door is still a work in progress as an inspirational text is still to be added to the sun. The perfectly angled lines demonstrate a precision to detail. The colors are bold. I love it!

The third door is also a work in progress, but already it looks like a masterpiece. Our team was able to mimic M.C. Escher’s fish-to-bird design without sacrificing its optical illusion.

Students took time out of their break and woke up early to come work on painting doors. It’s needless to say these doors boost school spirit and enthusiasm; I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the student body involved in this initiative.
